The Stellenbosch University Quality Management System
Our quality management system provides for the regular evaluation of academic departments and professional academic support services according to a fixed cycle for quality assurance and enhancement. Our Quality Assurance and Enhancement Policy aligns itself to the Council on Higher Education's (CHE) Framework for Institutional Quality Reviews.
Our University's Evaluation System comprises of the departmental self-evaluation, peer review and the two-year follow-up.
The findings of the self-and peer reviews and key actions for improvement are reported to our Quality Committee. Our Quality Committee is a subcommittee of our Executive Committee of Senate. Our Quality Committee advises our Executive Committee of Senate on the management and monitoring of all our institutional quality assurance and advancement activities.
