Ekklesia is an ecumenical centre focussing on practical ministry of the Faculty of Theology of Stellenbosch University. The word “ekklesia” means “church” or “congregation” and sometimes “community”. ​

​​​NetACT (Network for African Congregational Theology)​ is a network of theological institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa, created and directed by these institutions, to assist them in preparing leaders for missional congregations through networking and sharing of resources.

URDR (Unit for Religion and Development Research​) is an independent unit with academic status within Practical Theology and Missiology that aims to empower communities for sustainable development through research, theory development and consultation.​​​​
