The Stellenbosch University Society of Theatrical Arts was created with the intention of providing a cohesive space for members of the Stellenbosch community to learn, acquire, and showcase skills in the performing arts. We strive to provide for students who wish to hone various forms of dramatic expression outside of their PSO, residence or faculty. SUSTA seeks to provide an environment where students may experiment with various theatrical art form. 

SUSTA shall continuously advance the right of freedom of expression and educate those with interest in the various means of self-expression. SUSTA shall commit itself to the learning of dramatic theatre, including such sub-genres as mime, clowning as well as film. Furthermore, it shall delve into the world of literary studies, including the writing and performing of plays, poetry, and prose. Finally, SUSTA will house the collective expression of ideas relating to the social and political issues of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and the International community.
