Department of Systematic Theology and Ecclesiology
The Discipline Group focuses on an understanding of the Christian faith within the ecumenical debate and on the foundations of a theological ethos attuned to differences in cultural context. Fundamental issues of doctrine, conduct, church and office, and various issues of ecclesiastic confession are studied in relation to differences in historical background.
We study the faith, confession and life of the church and believers, and also the forms and history of the church and faith, including the witness and calling of the church through the ages and in diverse social and cultural environments.
