Welcome to Stellenbosch University

 Church Partners

The Faculty of Theology is an ecumenical faculty with students from a wide spectrum of denominations world-wide. We have four official church partners – the Dutch Reformed Church (DRC), the Uniting Reformed Church in Southern Africa (URCSA), the Uniting Presbyterian Church in Southern Africa (UPCSA) and the Anglican Church of Southern Africa (ACSA) – for whom we train ministers in terms of contracts and via ongoing negotiations about their needs. Ministry students undergo parallel ministry formation by their churches via the URC and DRC Seminarium and a module in Anglican Studies.

Dutch Reformed Church Curatorium (DRC). The DRC Curatorium is the body that supervises the theological training of DRC students. The Curatorium has about 20 members who represent all the synodic regions of the DRC.
