Knowledge translation
In our quest to advance evidence for enhanced decision making at the Department of Global Health, we support demand-driven research, deliberate and supportive engagement with research users, and strategic knowledge translation. Several initiatives are underway in the department to support and enhance these endeavours.
Knowledge Translation is “the exchange, synthesis, and ethically-sound application of knowledge—within a complex set of interactions among researchers and users—to accelerate the capture of the benefits of research …through improved health, more effective services and products, and a strengthened health care system (CIHR, 2004)."
