South Africa is in the midst of a mathematics and science education crisis that challenges all key role-players.
SUNCEP is involved in several programmes that seek to provide learning enhancement programmes to learners who show potential to access tertiary education. These learners currently hail from the Northern and Western Cape.
Learners are given extra tuition by tutors who are selected in conjunction with the applicable provincial education department. These tuition sessions take place during the school holidays or on Saturdays when learners are given quality lessons in Mathematics, Natural and Physical Sciences. Currently, Literacy is part of one of the interventions.
These lessons aim to help learners achieve excellent results in the National Senior Certificate, thus enabling them to access tertiary education.
The programmes that SUNCEP currently manage are listed in the table below the pictures.
