About our short courses

The Department of Afrikaans and Dutch offers several credit-bearing postgraduate short courses within the field of language practice and acquisition. These courses are each spread over the course of one academic semester, and are presented as distance education, with two compulsory contact sessions per semester on the Stellenbosch campus. These courses are therefore particularly suited to those who wish to acquire further skills, but who cannot engage in full-time postgraduate studies. Short-course students who successfully complete all assessments will receive a certificate of competence from Stellenbosch University.
