
Upon completion of the 2012 building project the Department of Food Science now has the following facilities available:
4 Undergraduate laboratories
2 Product development laboratories
2 Food Microbiology labs (Conventional & Molecular)
1 Food processing wastewater research laboratory
1 Food processing research laboratory
1 NIR – Near Infra-red Research laboratory
1 GC – Gas Chromatography laboratory
1 Pilot plant
1 Sensory Science Research laboratory
2 Meeting rooms
1 Undergraduate computer & sitting area
3 Postgraduate Seating areas
1 Boardroom, seating 16 people with an entertainment area
2 Lecture halls (seating 60 & 126 respectively)
