​Who can apply?

Very well qualified South African and German doctoral candidates, PhDs and postdocs, as well as students who have gained a master’s degree or Diplom, or in exceptional cases a bachelor’s degree, by the time the scholarship programme starts. South African doctoral candidates who are already pursuing their doctoral studies at a German university are not eligible to apply.
Female applicants and applicants from socially disadvantaged backgrounds are given priority in the event of equal qualifications.

Danida Fellowship Centre
Master Scholarship Programme 2025

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) received an invitation from the Royal Danish Embassy and the Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) to participate in the Master Scholarship Programme for 2025. The Master’s programme will focus on one of the areas of sector cooperation: climate, environment, energy, water, urban development, food and agriculture. These programmes will take place in Denmark and it’s a two-years of full-time studies. The programme is being implemented in collaboration with the Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) projects across Africa and candidates must be nominated by a Sector Counsellor. ​​​
