Tygerberg Wellness Garden Project 2021
One of the positive sequelae of the COVID pandemic was the awareness it created regarding staff wellness. Flowing from this was the establishment of the Tygerberg Wellness Garden, an initiative that the Division of Cardiology took with great enthusiasm. The division took ownership of two feature areas of the garden, straddling a water fountain that we restored and developed with funding provided by Biotronik. The two areas feature iconic indigenous species, the Clivia garden showcasing the beauty of our indigenous shady forest areas and the succulent garden hosting several species typical of sunny South Africa.
