Course 2: Dutch language acquisition for beginners, with real-time, interactive Zoom classes
What can you expect?
This online Dutch language acquisition course for beginners gives you good exposure to the Dutch langauge and will help you to communicate correctly in Dutch. This course uses the relationship between Afrikaans and Dutch as its point of departure. We contrast the two sister languages, focusing on the differences between them. Participants are therefore expected to have at least an intermediate knowledge of Afrikaans.
On Wednesday evenings from 18:00 to 19:30 you will join a real-time, interactive Zoom class with Sabien Van Craenendonck. Each week you will also receive new videos and exercises to prepare you for the next class and to review material already covered. The course is capped at 18 participants.

How long will it take?
This is a 10-week online course. The next course will start on Wednesday 8 September. Applications close on 18 August 2021.
What will it cost?
The course costs R2 000 for SU staff and students and R2 500 for non-students.
