2022 is a good year.

It came fast out of the blocks and gave us back a sense of normality. We have less screen time and more face time, more energy and activity in our offices and a wonderful sight to see our students and staff back on campus.

With most of our colleagues back in the office, new ideas and initiatives are mushrooming in our meeting rooms and corridors. Apart from a myriad of policy revisions and new policies, we have a long to-do list for the year across the various Innovus divisions. Still, our teams seem all happy and motivated to tackle whatever comes their way this year.

Let's look at some items on the to-do list: Firstly, we are excited to roll out the Rinaibra system throughout our residences to improve communication around maintenance logs. Between spinning out new companies and licensing SU's patents, our technology transfer team is taking our service offering for entrepreneurs one giant step forward with the planned Hackathon and the launch of the Instant Startup Toolkit for entrepreneurs.

This year, you will also see many improvements and changes in the SU Botanical Garden (watch this space!). We are working with Maties Sport to establish a dedicated e-Sport facility on our campus. Awareness of all the many and diverse activities in our division is also a focus area this year.

A big thank you to everyone across the Innovus teams for being even more enthusiastic than I am about what will be a bumper year for all of us!​
