Ms Lovelyn Nwadeyi will be the keynote speaker at the annual Youth day Lecture hosted by the Faculty of Theology in partnership with the Theological Student Committee & the Transformation Office, Stellenbosch University. The title of Ms Nwadeyi's lecture is: "Born Frees and Democracy: Freedom and Responsibility".
In 2017, Ms.
Lovelyn Nwadeyi was named one of Mzansi’s top 100 Young influencers. With a
Masters in Peace and Conflict studies and much experience in youth development
in South Africa, we are privileged to hear her perspective on how young people
view this 25-year democracy. We will also hear voices of students on what they
believe being “born frees” should look like in 2019. Creative exhibitions from
students will also be part of the day.
The lecture takes place on Friday 17 May 2019 in the Attie van Wijk Auditorium at the Faculty of Theology, 171 Dorp Street, Stellenbosch. RSVP before 13 May: Helette, hvdwest@sun.ac.za
