The VuyoLab is a multidisciplinary research group with an interest in combining the benefits provided by bioactive agents from marine sponges, their microbial symbionts and appropriately stabilised magnetic ion nanoparticles for application in mycobacterial biochemical studies that can reveal novel therapeutic and disease preventative opportunities. Our mission is to create an environment where scientists in training and visiting scholars who are interested in applied biochemical research are inspired to innovate.
