Division of Rheumatology
The Division of Rheumatology in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Stellenbosch University is largely an outpatient based service. Pathologies ranging from fibromyalgia to the vasculitides are assessed and treated. It is supported by an up to date immunology laboratory and imaging services. There are rehabilitation services and sound social support available. We are actively engaged in teaching both under and postgraduate students. Outreach is provided in the West Coast region by Dr Piek based at Paarl Hospital.
