Stellenbosch University has joined Crowdhelix’s open innovation platform enabling faculty and researchers to collaborate with a global network of over 600 innovative companies and internationally renowned universities.
Powered by over 15,000 searchable keywords, the Crowdhelix platform is designed to drive collaboration by bringing like-minded researchers, industry experts and inspiring innovators together.
The Crowdhelix platform is home to over 11,000 experts from multiple disciplines and industries. Crowdhelix members have collectively been awarded over €7.44 billion of funding under the EU Horizon programmes, to deliver over 13,000 pioneering projects.
The AI-driven platform hosts purpose-built communities, or Helixes, to foster collaboration. Once a Helix member has created a profile, they can connect with like-minded peers by either posting opportunities or responding to existing initiatives.
Experienced Helix Managers are also on hand to formalise discussions as projects and ideas begin to take shape.
Michael Browne, CEO of Crowdhelix, said that “the platform is designed to make it easy for researchers, businesses and subject matter experts to collaborate and develop synergetic solutions to shared challenges”.
Crowdhelix will host a webinar for Stellenbosch University researchers and faculty on 06 June 2023, where staff can learn more about the platform and how to maximise its matchmaking capabilities.
