Student Jonathan Gloyn-Jones, under the guidance of Prof Alex Kisters, has recently developed a new structural model for the mineralisation in Fairview mine. The purpose of the field trip was to extend the structural interpretations to include the nearby Sheba mine, and to complement this work with geochemical lines of evidence derived from fluid inclusion analysis, and stable isotope and trace element geochemical studies.
