Tell us why you chose to become a lecturer/academic?
In short, I have the opportunity to research topics that genuinely interest me - and get paid to do so. Bringing my research passion into my teaching makes the role even more fulfilling.
Is there a part of your job that you enjoy most?
Sharing my enthusiasm that I have for my research with students is the perfect cherry on top.
What advice would you give to EMS students and/or future professionals?
Take ownership of your learning. Research what the working world in your field will look like when you graduate and how you can make yourself indispensable in it.
Please tell us something about yourself that is not work-related.
Since 2012, after making a pact with myself, I have gotten my passport stamped at least once per year. Traveling is, therefore, a big part of who I am.
