Stellenbosch University, in partnership with the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS), cordially invites you to a public lecture by Prof Göran K Hansson, titled 'The secrets behind the world's most coveted awards'.

In this lecture, Hansson will discuss the role of the Nobel Prize in the world today and tomorrow, provide insights into the work of the Nobel Committee, explain the profile of the different Nobel Prizes and the organisations behind them, as well as the role of the Nobel Foundation. He may also reveal what happened during some of the 67 phone calls he has made to new Nobel Laureates, telling them for the first time that they will receive the Prize.
