The second annual Carbon Farming and Soil Conservation Conference will take place from 19 to 21 July 2023 will take place in Stellenbosch. Hosted by Stellenbosch University in collaboration with Empire Conferencing and Training, the objective of the conference is to bring participants up to date with information on solutions to enhancing biodiversity; best practice examples for making the transition to regenerative agriculture farming systems; and exposure to the latest research on how farmers can play a preeminent role in addressing climate change and ensuring food security by stewarding working landscapes to sequester carbon.

The conference programme also includes an exhibition, a site visit to Langgewens Research Farms and demonstrations of the latest innovations in agri-technology.
