In this joint information session by the DRD Research Grants Office the SUI SU Japan Centre, participants will be introduced to research funding opportunities under the Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement between South Africa and Japan as well as within the framework of bilateral development cooperation between the two countries. NRF calls for the Africa-Japan Collaborative Research (AJ-CORE) Programme as well as the SA-Japan (JSPS) Joint Research Proposals are expected soon and will be published on the NRF website. The Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) call is expected in August.
There will also be discussion of research collaboration and mobility support that arise from exchange agreements between Stellenbosch University and partner universities in Japan.
