Landward security offers the single most comprehensive and important good for the future prosperity of Africa's people. Security also occupies the first order priority to extend fundamental public goods across African societies. Africa's security landscape is dynamic and research on, and distribution of knowledge products on aspects of African landward domain therefore remains a critical building block in the overall security governance of the continent. SIGLA aims to contribute to the knowledge base of landward security governance in Africa. In this vein one research hub of SGLA is dedicated to the landward side by way of research, publication, and interaction with relevant actors at the national and continental levels.
