Who and what is CID?
The Centre for Infectious Diseases (CID) is a multidisciplinary entity that researches the prevention and management of infections and infectious diseases on a regional and national basis in the South African community. The purpose is to provide a science-based service relating to the prevention, diagnoses and treatment of infectious diseases. The centre will transfer its scientific knowledge and skills base through the provision of a wide range of formal (on under- and post-graduate level) and informal teaching and training programmes.
