The
Botanical Garden
not only serves the needs of the Stellenbosch University by supporting
research and education, but also renders an extremely important service
to the broader
community in the following ways:
supporting regional plant conservation efforts and community projects
- acting as an open-air laboratory and information centre for the public
The
activities of the Botanical Garden are managed by a limited number of staff, loyally
supported by the Friends of the Botanical Garden. Financially the Garden
