The Division of Dermatology is committed to producing robust research relevant to the African context. Our special research interests include acral melanoma, hidradenitis suppurativa, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, and dermatopathology. The Division's special interest in acral melanoma has developed in response to our experience in treating patients with this frequently neglected and misunderstood condition.
