Dr David Sotola  

Dr David Sotola

David Olusegun Sotola received his PhD from the School of Public Leadership, Graduate School of Economic and Management Sciences (GEM), Stellenbosch University in 2021. Before then, he worked with Research Institutes in Nigeria in various roles including as research manager and Head of Research. More recently, he has worked with UNICEF as a Research and Evidence Specialist in Nairobi Kenya, and the University of Nottingham, UK as a British Academy Fellow. He currently serves in research and consulting roles in international development, including as a Research Consultant with Transparency International Secretariat. He has published widely in academic and general outlets. His research interests are in the areas of corruption and anticorruption, crisis response, social protection, and conflict and peacebuilding.

Dr Hafte Gebrihet  

Dr Hafte Gebrihet

Hafte Gebrihet is a Doctor of Public and development management specialising in the political economy of land reform. He is originally from Ethiopia. He received his PhD from Stellenbosch University in 2022. His PhD thesis investigates the challenges of urban land governance, urban land market and urban land policy in Ethiopia. He is currently a Postdoctoral research Fellow at the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance at the University of Cape Town.

His research focuses on building democratic governance and resilient institutions in Africa with particular emphasis on achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the African Union agenda of 2063. He has over ten years of research, community service, and teaching experience in Ethiopia and South Africa.

Dr Gebrihet has published several academic articles in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at national and international conferences. He has worked with several national and international public, private, and civil society associations and is a member of the South African Association of Public Administration and Management and the Ethiopian Economic Association.

Dr Robert Mukobi  

Dr Robert Mukobi

Robert Mukobi holds a PhD in Public and Development Management from Stellenbosch University. He also attained a Master of Arts in Anti-Corruption Studies at the International Anti-Corruption Academy, Austria, a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management from Makerere University Kampala (MUK), a Master of Management Studies (Monitoring and Evaluation) from Uganda Management Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Makerere University. He obtained other post graduate qualifications in Public Finance Management and, Policy and Planning for Public Sector from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute.

His working experience in the area of development management spans over 20 years. For the past 15 years, Dr Mukobi has been involved in developing and implementing institutional reforms aimed at enhancing adherence to fiduciary assurance, public finance management, fostering a culture of accountability and combating corruption so as to improve service delivery in Uganda. Currently, Dr Mukobi​ works for GIZ Uganda as Technical Advisor- Anti-Corruption where he provides professional and technical advisory services in ensuring that the Office of the Auditor General, Inspectorate of Government and Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Asset Authority, provide a more effective contribution towards strengthening accountability and the fight against corruption in Uganda. Previously, he worked with the Accountability Sector Secretariat-Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, and Directorate for Ethics and Integrity - Office of the President as a Programme Manager, providing strategic guidance and overseeing the implementation of the accountability agenda in Uganda. He has published in the fields of public participation and anti-Corruption.​​​
