The South African Research Chair in Postharvest Technology at the University of Stellenbosch was established in 2009 under the DST-NRF South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI). The primary goal of the Chair is to undertake cross-cutting innovative research and human capacity development to support South Africa's agricultural and horticultural postharvest industries.
