Department of Biochemistry
What is Biochemistry?
Biochemistry sits at the intersection of chemistry and biology, moving from molecular structures via macro-molecular activity to biological function.
From applied studies in waste water treatment, potato virus spread, contraceptives, drug discovery and malaria to fundamental work in Systems Biology, and P450 function, you will find it all in our department. Follow any of the links to find out more about our research, undergraduate and post-graduate courses, staff and other departmental issues.
