Student Discipline
The Student Discipline Office manages compliance with the Disciplinary Code for Students of Stellenbosch University. The team consist of the Head: Student Discipline (HSD), Administrator: Student Discipline (ASD) and Investigator: Student Discipline (ISD). The team guide students and functionaries through the process.
The Student Discipline Office: (1) investigates all complaints of misconduct allegedly committed by students; (2) provides administrative and clerical support to the various disciplinary forums; (3) ensures compliance with the sanctions imposed to students by the disciplinary forums; and (4) provides advice, assistance, guidance and training on the disciplinary process and disciplinary code to students, faculties and residences.
Our key stakeholders are students, Faculties, Residences, Student Affairs and the Equality Unit. To a lesser extent we also interact with external role-players, including the South African Police Service, the Senior State Prosecutor's Office, Stellenbosch Municipality, lawyers and parents of students.
