​​​​​​​The Electrical Machine Laboratory undertakes research, design, and development of both conventional and special electrical machines and drives. 

Researchers have been working together on a series of design and development projects, including:

  • Battery-powered EV drive trains
  • Reluctance and IPM traction motor drives
  • Multi-phase Induction motor drive
  • PM and Non-PM wind generator drives
  • Design and control of Brushless DFIG drives​
