The Passing-Out Parade of MA22 took place on Thursday, 8 December 2022.  For the first time in a long while the parade was held at a newly refurbished Military Academy Parade Ground.  The Chief of Staff of the SANDF, Lieutenant General Fhurani Michael Ramantswana. officiated the parade amidst the presence of several high-ranking DOD officials, members from Stellenbosch University as well as friends and proud parents of the third year students.  Also, during the parade, the outgoing student captain, CO P.J. Lebaka, handed over the reins to the incoming student captain of 2023, Lt Modise.

Lt Gen Ramantswana congratulated all the graduates for their achievements, especially since they had completed their courses in unprecedented times.  “Despite progressive waves of Covid-19 during their studies, the Faculty of Military Science recorded the highest number of graduates this year, with a significant increase in postgraduate qualifications," he said.  He reminded the graduates to note the importance of the support they had received from their family and friends during this time.
