Lingua Africa*

This project focuses on health, and in particular the access and availability of health resources in the official languages of South Africa. The purpose is to establish a database of assessments, tools, scales and other resources that have been created, adapted or translated into local languages. Aside from the applied value of such a database we will use the database to answer theoretical questions about resource distribution, development process, quality and lexical equivalence of health-related terms across the languages.

*Note that this is not a child-specific project
