1. Stellenbosch University Africa Day Inaugural Lecture

The title is "Can schools build an inclusive African identity? Tracing Changes in the Racial Demographics of Schools since 1994." The lecture will be delivered by Prof Jonathan Jansen. He is a distinguished Professor of Education at Stellenbosch University, President of the South African Institute of Race Relations and President of the South African Academy of Science.

2. Africa Day: A time for action in Africa

Join the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for an Africa Day event focusing on 'Global Health: A time for action in Africa'. Prof Jimmy Volmink, Dean: Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof Susan van Schalkwyk, Director: Centre for Health Professions Education and Prof Hester Klopper, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Strategy and Internationalisation at Stellenbosch University will lead discussions on 'Global Health: A matter of solidarity and social justice' and “Gender and global health'.  The event will also feature a round table discussion with postgraduate students on their role as health advocates in Africa.
