Prof Anny-Dominique Curtius
Anny-Dominique Curtius is an Associate Professor of Francophone Studies at the University of Iowa where she also serves as co-director of the working group “Museum Futures" at the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies. Her interdisciplinary research lies at the crossroads of cultural theory, and the cinematic, visual and performing arts of the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean and Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa; comparative postcolonial museum studies; and Black Atlantic Ecocriticism. Her work also focuses on the defacement and toppling of the iconography of slavery in the public space. She is the author of two books, Suzanne Césaire. Archéologie littéraire et artistique d'une mémoire empêchée (2020) (Suzanne Césaire. Literary and Artistic Archeology of a Hindered Memory) and Symbioses d'une mémoire: Manifestations religieuses et littératures de la Caraïbe (2006) (Symbiosis of a Memory: Caribbean Religions and Literatures) as well as numerous articles and book chapters in the aforementioned fields of study.
Ms Connie Bell
Connie Bell is one of the founding members of Decolonising the Archive (DTA) and the University of Repair. As a consultant, memory worker and cultural producer she explores decolonial methodologies and memory as technology within archives through her work. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the University of London addressing cultural memory and reparations and she is leading the overarching project of building a digital Pan-African Archive via DTA LIVE RADIO.
