This world-leading paleobiologist has been recognised globally for her exceptional contribution – not only to science, but also to taking science to people of all ages.

Alongside her impressive publication record (including four publications in Nature – two in Nature Communications, and two in Scientific Reports) she finds time to write popular books about Africa's fossils. In between lecturing on the academic world circuit, she makes time to speak to children about her research on dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. In addition to serving on numerous academic societies and boards, she throws her weight behind science festivals and science centres.
