​A CV is the very first and crucial step for anyone to access the world of work. To ensure that our students do not submit average CV's but increase the likelihood that they are called for interviews we prepared a series of sessions to assist them.

The Unit for Graduand Career Services offers students sessions on Job-Seeking Skills, CV Writing, Cover Letter Writing Interview Skills and Personal Branding to help them be better prepared for entering the world of work. These sessions are offered in bigger manageable groups of 15, in smaller groups of 5 for closer engagement and when the need arises, individually.

To ensure a more direct and individualised approach in both the small group sessions and one-on-ones, students are urged to email their draft CV's no later than 1 day before the session so that the facilitator can adapt the session to the personal needs of the attendees.

Course fees and Payment Procedure

Although there is no cost involved for these worksessions, it is of absolute importance students must register for the respective worksession(s) at the Unit for Graduand Career Services, 43 Victoria Street. To apply online, please register on MatiesCareers, complete your profile then RSVP by opening events, workshops and RSVP for a workshop of your interest.
