The nuances of learning to read in an African language
More than 70% of South African children from grades R to 3 learn to read in an indigenous African language. Dr Nic Spaull, Senior Researcher in the Economics Department at Stellenbosch University, investigates how children from different African language groups learn to read, and explores the effects these differences have on education and prosperity in Africa.
Join us for a special Leader's Angle in celebration of AFRICA DAY, at the University of Stellenbosch Business School at the Bellville Park campus in Bellville.
