In our quest to advance evidence for enhanced decision making at the Department of Global Health, we support demand-driven research, deliberate and supportive engagement with research users, and strategic knowledge translation.
Knowledge Translation is
“the exchange, synthesis, and ethically-sound application of knowledge—within a complex set of interactions among researchers and users—to accelerate the capture of the benefits of research …through improved health, more effective services and products, and a strengthened health care system
(CIHR, 2004)."
Several initiatives are underway in the department to support and enhance these endeavours.
