On 15 July 2025, Stellenbosch University (SU) welcomed a high-level delegation from Bryant University, USA, led by President Dr. Ross Gittell. he visit was facilitated by Mr Robert Kotze, Senior Director of SU International, and featured discussions around shared academic interests in innovation, entrepreneurship, data science, and artificial intelligence, with a view to exploring areas of alignment and future engagement.
Bryant University’s delegation further included Dr Edinaldo Tebaldi (Vice President for Strategy and Institutional Effectiveness), and representatives from Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Dr Craig Van Rooyen (Chief Commercial Officer), Dr Willie Oosthuysen (Chief Strategy Officer), and Mr Reginald Jooste (Managing Executive: Public Sector).
The delegation engaged with key representatives of SU, including Prof Sibu Moyo (Acting Rector and DVC: Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies), Prof Kanshu Rajaratnam (Director: School for Data Science and Computational Thinking), Mr David Marupen (Director: Fundraising, Development and Alumni Relations), and Ms Anita Nel (Chief Director: Innovation and Commercialisation).
The visit highlighted strong alignment in values and strategic priorities between the two institutions.
