Department of Psychology wants to bring the following to the attention
of potential applicants for the MA (Clinical Psychology) 2020.
Currently, the Specific Admissions Requirements for admission to the MA (Clinical
Psychology) programme according the yearbook requires “(a)n Honours
degree in Psychology or an equivalent qualification that Senate has
approved for admission to the programme, or a Master's degree in
Psychology, completed within the past five years, with a minimum final
mark of 70%".
has been brought to our attention that the requirement that the
specified degree/s had to have been obtained within the last five year
is potentially problematic. We are thus currently in the process of
reviewing this requirement with the faculty. In the interim, for 2020
applications, we want to invite potential applicants who do not adhere
to the five year stipulation, to submit their applications. All other
requirements still apply.
In order to accommodate applicants who have not submitted applications due to this stipulation, we are extending our deadline for applications until Friday 7 June 12h00.
Specific Admission Requirements
· An Honours degree in Psychology or an equivalent qualification that Senate has
approved for admission to the programme, or a Master's degree in Psychology,
completed within the past five years (2014-2019) (current Honours students may also apply on condition that they successfully complete the degree at the end of 2019), with a minimum final mark of 70%.
· Proficiency in at least two official languages.
