The BAHons Journalism programme is a one-year, full-time, honours course for aspiring media professionals.

Please note: The Department of Journalism at Stellenbosch University supports journalism training and education in Southern Africa. As the number of places for practical postgraduate journalism study in this region is limited, we give preference (in the honours programme) to applicants from South Africa and its neighbouring countries.

For more information on the BAHons Journalism course click here. You are also welcome to contact the course convenor, Ms Marenet Jordaan (marenet@sun.ac.za).

Our Master’s programme is a modular course, allowing working journalists to pursue an advanced degree.
For more information on the MA Journalism course click here. You are also welcome to contact the course convenor, Dr Gawie Botma (gbotma@sun.ac.za).

The PhD can either be done through the  Graduate School on a full-time basis or part-time.
