Types of Support

The Faculty offers advice and support to all its students on academic and/or personal and social matters.

Support includes:

  • Tutor programmes for students who are in need of additional academic support
  • Workshops (e.g. Effective Time Management, Improving Study Skills, Stress Management)
  • Therapy and Personal Development sessions (eg relationship problems, depression) ​

Career Development
Preparing students for the job-seeking process.Topics covered: CV Writing, Interviewing skills, Entrepreneurship.​ 

Disability Awareness - workshops presented by Office for Students with Special Learning Needs (Disabilities)
It will be presented by people with disabilities and aims to sensitize the campus community to people with disabilities.

Effective Time Management 
The goal of this worksession is to guide students to plan their time optimally and how to implement that plan.

Improving your ​​Self-confidence & Social skills
The workshop teaches students to communicate with greater confidence in a variety of social settings.

Improving your Study Methods 
These sessions introduce the students to basic study principles and techniques.

Sexuality support group for female students
This group offers an open, supportive environment to female students who are experiencing difficulties with their sexuality.

Sexuality support group for male students
This group offers an open, supportive environment for male students who are experiencing difficulties with their sexuality.

Stress management during tests and exams
Learn how to deal with stress during tests and exams in a healthy way.

Stress management: Manage your studies and personal life better
This workshop explores students’ relationship with stress and provides effective ways of dealing with stressful situations in everyday life.

Thinking skills
An introduction to different thinking strategies.​
