AFRIKA GEBED
Peter Klatzow (1945 - , Suid-Afrika)

Kom, Heer, beskerm my in die nag!
Sprei U genade oor ons; laat daal U vrede neer op ons.
U genade is sterker as die nag.
Vader, dit is koud: die nag kom met sy skadu's en vrees.
Heer, ons wag op U: nag en dag. – Desmond Tutu

BRONZE TRIPTYCH
Dan Forrest (1978 - , USA)

This is a work in three movements for mixed choir and piano duet.
Movement 1: the text traces the formation of a bell – bronze mined from the earth, first formed into weapons of war.
Movement 2: the bronze is melted down and recast (reborn) as a bell to toll for vespers.
Movement 3: the bell peals out in victory and joy, announcing peace after the destruction of war.

Text: Charles Anthony Silvestri.

THE CONVERSION OF SAUL
Randall Stroope (1953 - , USA)

After the stoning of Stephen, Saul launched an all-out persecution of the early Christian church and became legendary in his pursuit to exterminate all who "believed". But as Saul later wrote, he was blinded by a light from heaven as he travelled to Damascus and was confronted by a voice that called out to him, saying "Saul, why do you persecute me?" Saul turned from his murderous deeds and spent the remainder of his life as a Christian missionary.

ALLELUIA

PSALM 121
Jake Runestad (1986 - , VSA)

LUPPITER (JUPITER – A COSMIC JOURNEY)
Michael Ostrzyga (1975 - , Austria)

Luppiter is a choral work based on Jupiter's many Latin cult names and etymologically related concepts from other ancient languages.
In addition, passages from the Roman Catholic mass are used.
The initial grandioso sound is succeeded by an ornamental, mysterious middle part.
The composition ends in a megalomaniac final part, like thunder and downpour.

NORWEGIAN LULLABY
Arranged by Gunnar Eriksson (1936 - , Sweden)

Hush, my baby, be still – no tears.
Sweetly smiling, you have no fears.
Dreaming child, sleep safely in the peace of God.
My mother dances with me in the meadow.

PSALM 103: EK WIL DIE HERE LOOF
Niel van der Watt (1962 - , S.A.)

WE CAN MEND THE SKY
Jake Runestad (1986 - , VSA)

In my dream I saw a world free of violence, hunger, suffering.
A world filled with love.
Let's go – to save your soul, run with all your might.
If we come together, we can mend a crack in the sky.
