Workshop description:

This workshop invites researchers across institutions to rethink educational inquiry in present-day South Africa. Prof Soudien will be sharing unique insight into the world of publication, both as an education specialist based at the School of Education at UCT, and through the central role he played at the Human Sciences Research Council. The interactive session will draw on four specific writing projects as cases to generate discussion and practical considerations around research writing, critical reviewing and other issues. Also read Prof Soudien's latest reflections in his article “The role of South Africa's social scientists in COVID-19 responses: why it matters", published on The Conversation. The piece sheds light on researchers' involvement and contributions in the current climate.
