As part of Transport Services' ongoing effort to provide the best possible service, we are implementing a price adjustment to the Insurance levy and access to reflect current market conditions and increased costs.

The adjustment to the Insurance Levy and Excess are applicable to both internal and external vehicle rentals (Blue/Avis etc. and University-Owned) vehicles. These updates are necessary to align with current market conditions and ensure adequate coverage.

Changes Effective from 1/4/2025:

• Insurance Levy: 30% of the bill, with a minimum charge of R150 per booking
• Excess: R3500 or 10% of costs whichever is the greater of the two.
• Excess: Windscreens with a minimum of R1250

These changes apply to all vehicle rentals both Internal and External.
