National survey that focuses on academics' experiences during remote teaching and learning

Dear lecturer/university teacher/academic leader

The Council on Higher Education, Universities South Africa and the University of the Free State invite you to take part in a national survey that focuses on (1) your experiences as lecturer/university teacher/academic leader during remote teaching and learning; and (2) your perspectives on how teaching and learning will change as a result of the pandemic and what support you might need to adapt to such changes.

Please note that even though respondents will not be asked for identifiable information, the survey solicits selected demographic information (institution, faculty, gender, race, level of appointment and years of experience) that might impede anonymity. This data is collected to differentiate between institutions, understand the experiential differences of remote teaching and learning between groups, and to identify whether different groups within the lecturing population feel unsupported in unfamiliar circumstances.
