On Tuesday, 26 March 2019, the Centre for Student Recruitment and Career Advice (CSR) hosted the university's first Application Day for prospective students. The CSR in partnership with the Contact and Client Service Centre assisted 40 of the 2018 Careers@Maties learners with their applications to Stellenbosch University (intake 2020).

Careers@Maties is a free psychometric assessment for top grade 11 learners (and their parents) from designated schools, offered by the CSR in-house psychologist, Mr Hambly Matthews. The assessment is followed by individual career guidance feedback sessions with learner and parents.

Schools that participated in the day included: Islamia College, New Orleans Secondary, Schoonspruit Secondary, Kasselsvlei Secondary, Gordon HS, Malibu HS, Luckhoff HS, Livingston HS, Belgravia HS, Noorder Paarl Secondary, Mondale HS, Strand Secondary and Franschhoek HS.
