S'nothile Gumede

 The Stellenbosch University Museum invites you to a Wednesday Art Talkabout between Dr Ernst van der Wal (Head of the Visual Arts Department, Stellenbosch University) and S'nothile Gumede, in conversation about the exhibition/curatorial intervention Acquisition List 2021 curated by S'nothile Gumede, which is currently on view at the Stellenbosch University Museum.

The exhibition entitled Acquisition List is an institutional critique of the Fine Arts collection of the Stellenbosch University Museum and is used as a practical method to engage with the gaps in the Museum's permanent art collection. The exhibition uses this curatorial intervention as a point of departure to explore the role of the curator in addressing inequality.
