The workshop is jointly funded and presented by ACUNS and SIGLA and cover topics on maritime security, food security, migration and refugees. About 200 international candidates competed by way of an introductory essay for the 16 available slots. The workshop is housed at the Faculty of Military Science in Saldanha. The best candidate receives funding to participate in the ACUNS annual meeting and international conference hosted by Stellenbosch University, 19-21 June.
